[IRCA] September 24th - TP's Victoria B.C. Part 1 -

Listened from 1245 to 1410 UTC - conditions were perkier to my ear with a
couple of surprises

531 Khz 1254Z JAPAN NHK1 JOQG Morioka (t) really, really struggling with
quiet chatter - getting clobbered by some local buzz.

558 Khz 1256Z KBS2 Korea - (T)noted // to the much, MUCH better performer
on 603 Khz

567 Khz 1300Z JAPAN NHK1 JOIK Hokkaido Fair to good on peaks - no better or
worse than yesterday

594 Khz 1302Z JAPAN NHK1 JOAK Tokyo - solid // to 567 with network
programming - Fair- good

603 Khz 1303Z KBS2 Seoul - Happy FM (t) much better shape today with poppy
Korean vocals and some sense of 2nd (maybe Chinese) talking station
underneath-

612 khz 1347Z AUSTRALIA 4QR Brisbane - way over the top today - 100% near
armchair at times // 702

666 Khz 1304Z JAPAN NHK1 JOBK Osaka // 567 and 594 fair during multiple
passes

675 khz 1252Z JAPAN NHK1 (2 locations) - easy parallel to 594 Khz - caught
on Pt. 1 video reel

702 Khz 1348Z ABC Australia 2BL (T) - easy // to 612 Khz - with English
talk

747 Khz 1315Z JAPAN NHK2 - JOIB - Sapporo, Hokkaido - passed a few times -
fair to poor in the splash

774 Khz 13XXZ JAPAN NHK2 - JOUB - Akita - At astounding levels and with
Chinese talker underneath - on YouTube reel

828 Khz 13XXZ JAPAN NHK2 - JOBB - Osaka - Always there during session

864 Khz 1303Z UNID - and at 1352 even better with "Chinese" sounding talk
and opera music. Likely Korea.

873 Khz 1334Z JAPAN NHK2 - JOAB - Kumamoto - // to 774 JOUB Akita - pushing
through local buzz

891 Khz 1319Z UNID - Almost always something there - but did not hang around

918 Khz 1336Z UNID Chinese talking (almost 100% sure) - today was a mixed
bag mid-band

945 Khz 1336Z UNID Chinese talking - with at least one solid echo -
suggesting multi sites. Fr. Gd.

954 Khz 1337Z JAPAN TBS JOKR Tokyo (t) at times fair today - this is an
"all the time" station over the last 6 mornings

963 Khz 1337Z CRI China (600kw) - Way more muddy today.

972 Khz 1349Z S. KOREA KBS HLCA - utterly silly levels on the part #1 You
Tube reel - could have picked this up on a single transistor regenerative
radio it was so strong. In all morning - #1 signal.

RECEIVER - DRAKE R8 /// ANTENNA W/NW Flag // Wellbrook FLG100 Head //
Newell-VACTROL Remote control terminator //

DX Spotter - Nick Hall Patch Fish-Barrel System
