Re: [IRCA] S. AZ TPs, Wednesday 9/21

One peculiar thing about this (which hasn't been heard here yet). Why on earth would China be jamming a program aimed at Japan? Practising for the later Chinese program? Maybe we should take up a collection and send the Chinese Jamming Authority a WRTH? Or, at least a link to the Pacific Asian Log.

best wishes,

Nick

Thanks for investigating this. Here was the 1566 Jammer + HLAZ signal at 1255 UTC this morning-- did your jammer sound anything like this, Steve?

Terrible storm static to the north and east that only went away just
before sunrise hampered hearing weak signals. Conditions seemed to be
decent. I possibly heard Gary's pulsing tone on 1566 for several
minutes. Details on the 1566 listing. All Asian. Good expanded band hets
on 1611 (two), 1638, 1656, 1683 just before sunrise, almost some audio
on 1611.

1575 presumed VOA poor 1238. Good modulation producing audio for a
relatively weak het level. HLAZ needs much stronger het to produce audio.
