[IRCA] TP 18 Sep Victoria version
That was interesting, but tough, a lot going on, but erratic and hard
to nail things down.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
for example, all around 1300UT, 594, 747, 774, 972, 1053 and 1566
were all howling after the hour. The hour was completely
uninteresting in comparison
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
567 JOIK man in Japanese 1318UT //594
738 pop vocals 1330UT assumed to be Tahiti? Very little on 1143 at this time.
963 CRI woman in Russian 1329UT
1017 vocal music 1327UT, not //774 which was talk, and having its own
difficulties with interference. Then, woman talking as it faded
down, but sounded Korean, therefore likely to be CRI?
1098 CNR1 classical music first noted 1328UT, some Chinese talk,
better on north Flag, finally noted //6030 at 1344UT. Wonder if
CNR11 is relaying CNR1 at this time? It's been pretty beefy for the
1kw listed.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
1089 pop music 1346UT, not //774; man talking briefly at 1348UT
seemed Chinese? CNR5? (no parallels heard). Better on north Flag,
less 1090 splatter..
1143 woman in Chinese 1348UT, better on north Flag, no // available
on 738 by now.
1242 JOLF woman in Japanese 1355UT, better on north Flag, cuckoo pips
snuck through at 1400UT
1287 JOHR? pop music 1355UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
558 HLQH? man talking Korean inflection 1253UT, no // and down by the hour
612 man talking DU English inflection 1331UT, struggling perhaps with NHK1??
711 3 and one pips at 1200UT likely HLKA; 710 splatter too much to
get much further with audio
738 jazz tune struggling with man and woman talking 1257UT
837 JOQK man talking //594 1201UT
864 female talk 1346UT, no hints from possible parallels
873 JOGB man in Japanese //774 1348UT; also 1307UT
891 unID man mumbling insistently, not //594, 1334UT, perhaps Colin's
suggested Korea which has not been heard here for awhile
891 JOHK man in Japanese //594 1232UT
954 woman in possible Japanese; 1353UT, north Flag
1206 woman mumbling in splatter 1306UT, ~40Hz low
1332 woman talking faded up just after 1400UT, Japanese inflection?
1386 NHK2 English lessons //774 1350UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here
621 639 675 846 918 936 945 981 1008 1179 1314 1323 1503
best wishes,
Nick
