I yam an ex-neighbor too. I think I did some LW DX out there once but  
nothing serious. I used to live at 1906 Santiago in 61-62 and that  
was a good location during a low sunspot period. I used to do the PR  
for the Cliff House and did string a reasonably long wire across his  
vineyards in Sonoma once but I don't recall hearing anything  
exceptional.
