Seconding what Pat notes below. From San Francisco I have pipelines up/down the coast, especially north. Even when auroral or south dominant conditions prevail I can 'usually' hear the big
guns up the coast all the way to Vancouver. Inland stations are not quite as strong and are affected by auroral conditions more so than coastal. I would also note I seem to have a special
pipeline into Alberta. Calgary & Edmonton send good signals down here on many of their stations.
