Re: [IRCA] R-75 Arrived

Let me know how well she does. I have always wanted one. However, the next
time I come across some money, I might just hunt down a KIWA Loop instead.

I priced Copper pipes today. I guess I have to buy a butane torch too!

My new Icom R-75 has arrived and I must say that I'm a little surprised at
how light it is weight wise. Also the digital readout is really big and easy
to read without my glasses.

Beginning at 1700 EDT today I'm going to put the rig through some initial
testing on the MF AM broadcast band, via the ABDX 500-600 KC CME. I will be
switching between my indoor 2 foot box loop, outdoor 5 foot coaxial loop.

Tomorrow I will test the rig out on shortwave with a 120-11 meter dipole up
at 35 feet and fed with 450 ohm ladderline to a tuner.
