Re: [IRCA] MW DX Portables

Mr. Jones -

Unsure. What makes this good dx machine is what makes audiophiles shy from it, tight selectivity. Impractical for blasting Aerosmith throughout jobsites, but good for yanking weak sigs from tall grass. Found first Rochester NH hamfest, fall '93. Found second couple years ago, e-bay. Run 24/7. Lo-maint, change out memory batts once in while.
Believe by 93 this was several years discontinued? Maybe made mid eighties thru early nineties at latest? Color scheme - black, blue, gray - similar to CR2021, popular early eighties. Good SSB stability, suitable for ute camping. Instruction sheets factory dated 9/88. Hope this proves of interest.
What part NH? Were it not for winter, would be there. Find crag, disappear.
