I think the same thing, except if I get away from the house with a
portable, the noise goes away very quickly. That leads me to believe it
is radiating through the lines. But even if I stopped it at my house,
the other houses are still radiate it. 
   I wonder if anyone has had experience with the surge protector in the
power box.
