Re: [IRCA] Radio Needs to Serve Listeners...Not Wall Street

When, in nearly every market, one of the top 2 to 3 (if not #1) stations in
revenue is an AM, such a change in "a few years" is very unlikely.

Look at New York... among the top billers are WFAN (#3), WINS (#2), WCBS and
WABC... in Chicago WGN and WBBM and WSCR. In Miami, WQAM, WAQI. In LA, KFI,
KFWB, KNC. In Phoenix, KTAR and KFYI... and so on.

Maybe in a few decades, but not in a few years.

Still a lot of DXers and engineers believe the AM band will be dead in a
few years. How many who knows. But some feel AM will be a thing in the
past as far as the US goes. Depending on what is on the air by then, who
knows maybe long haul DX will be possible over most of the country on
AM.
