[IRCA] DX Conditions 9/27

Greetings:

This morning started being rather "ho-hum", when I first got up at 1300
UTC. But as it got closer to LSR, the dial became much more alive. John
Bryant yesterday caught Vietnam 675 at 1400. I tried today and there it
was at about 1430 with a gal in Vietnamese. Heard & QSL'd, but it is
nice to hear. I forgot to check at 1400. I was over on 936 khz trying to
fiqure out the station in an odd Asian language. Then the news came on
and the male ancr was in some UNID language with an alternating woman
ancr in EE. There was a website mentioned. I will have to see if I can
make it out on the tape later. The term "province" was used quite a lot
by the gal in EE. That would point to China, but the UNID language sure
was not Mandarian, Amoy, Cantonese, Taiwanese, or anything close to
that. China has so many minority languages, I have no idea if this was
one of those or not. Auhui still comes to mind, but it did not fit what
I have there in the past.
Other highligts were a jumble of CC, Filipino,JJ, etc on 639. No IDs
heard there either. I was looking for the filipino more than anything.
This was not a filipino morning. Not at all. Infact in the beginning it
was more Northern for a time with JJ & KK. But later on, more from the
Southerly route showed up. Even Bangkok 891 was there but weaker than in
previous mornings. I checked 1134 and 1566 for India, but no a peep.
1134 had the usual mix of JJ/KK. 1566 with HLAZ weak. Not the best
morning but interresting.
Oh yes, some DUs showed up too. 4QR-612 and 4BC-1116 were very strong.
I heard on 1071 around 1435 pop mx and a gal ancr. One song was "Diamond
Girl" by Seals and Crofts. Any ideas? Later a talk station took over the
channel.
