I've got a Uniden CR-2021 that won't power up. I bought it in the late '80s,
and it started working intermittently about 10 years ago. In the past, if I
shelved it for a couple of months, it usually would power up after the
hiatus. Now that trick no longer works. It's great for background music in
the shack, so I'd hate to give up on it if the repair cost is justifiable.
The local ham store -- Associated Radio -- won't repair it. Any suggestions?
RadioShack used to have a repair service, but I haven't heard anything, good
or bad. What about Universal or Grove?
Any tips and experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.
