Neil,

Try again. New Zealand is SW of me not SE. The Philippines in WSW of me.
Basically in the same direction, a few degrees one way of the other. The
pattern of my EWE runs from the FE Russia to New Zealand.  The EWE gives
me about 40% of the circle, nulling the NE/E.
