Re: [IRCA] DSP



In my personal experience with AF outboard and IF inboard DSP, it is over rated. At times it can peak a signal above the noise but the audio sounds tinny and rings, which makes intelligibility for copying ID's poor.
 
Also DSP works best on lightning QRN and works least on short and long pulse man made noise. DSP is no replacement for a good noise blanker.

It sounds interesting. Thanks. I may look into it. Buying a 599X would
be a lot less expentive than a new receiver too.
