Hi Chuck,

I think we were talking about this on the R8 list before I sent it in :-)

The labor cost was $150 (@$100/hr!) for the serial port repair, alignment and installing the new bottom cover. Parts and shipping extra. I image the alignment alone would be less, but you might want to contact them. They were very responsive to emails and phone calls,

How much did they charge you? I’m going to send my R8B in for alignment once the season is over, and there are a handful of ex Drake techs on e-lists that I could send it to if Drake is way out of line.

Just got my R8 back from Ohio about 2 weeks ago; Drake repaired a broken RS232 port and realigned it back to almost dead-nuts frequency readout. Very quick turn-around, if a bit pricey,
