Re: [IRCA] NEW MW QSL

Pat/Bill:

I don't actually recall if XERB was 24/7 in the sixties but my dx records would indicate it was not. I heard these stations on 1090 in the 60s from my West Sacramento location:

AR KAAY Little Rock 12-16-68 0230 PST Mon.
CA KNCR Fortuna 7-12-69 2000 PDT Sat.
HI KHAI Honolulu 9-25-67 0100 PDT Mon.
WA KING Seattle 11-24-66 0133 PST Thur.
AB CHEC Lethbridge 4-10-67 0129 PDT Mon.
JAP JO-- Japan 11-20-67 0113 PST Mon.
MEX XERB Rosarito Bch 12-11-57 1758 PST Wed.
VEN YVNJ Bachaqueico 2--5-68 0200 PST Mon.

I remember the date I had the JJ in 67 that I also had a USA station that I didn't get an ID from. I was sure at the time that it must be WBAL.

It looks like XERB was 'probably' 24/6 during the 60s & off Monday morning.

don k.
