Re: [IRCA] More available spectrum when TV goes digital.

Mike,

I have moved into the digital world the past few years on satellite TV,
4DTV, DVB, and the Dish Network. You are right, they cram so many
signals into a small area of the spectrum that the signal does suffer,
especially with Dish & Direct. There are artifacts in the signal at
times. DVB can suffer too, depends on how many signals they cram on a
frequency, but some of the 4DTV channels, are not as bad. You are right,
more channels in a small area, compression. Looking are Dish on a big
screen TV, you notice it more. I guess they can do the same thing with
IBOC Radio, but probably being radio, it will not affect the signals as
much. On coping onto DVD I find more problems than I do coping onto a
CD. CD coping is trouble free, where I have problems with DVD coping
more often.
