Re: [IRCA] More available spectrum when TV goes digital.

Could the FCC give regular 50kW AM stations a licence to simulcast in IBOC on the freed up TV analogue frequencies after 2008?  This would also open up an off shoot of the hobby, IE DXing IBOC stations with the relevant specialist gear. This would mean business for the Chinese radio manufactures. This is only an idea UNLESS the frequencies are already spoken for?

If IBOC happens, we will not be able to hear as many stations. You
will not be able to ID stations that are weak. If you have two
stations that are roughly the same strength, it will be nearly
imposible to ID either. etc etc etc.
