Re: [IRCA] Vertical Receive Antenna

Patrick before Hurricane Jeanne knocked it down I used my 160 meter tee vertical for DXing the MF AM broadcast band. Of course it received omnidirectional but worked like gangbusters. I could here many more signals popping out on top on any given frequency.

It consisted of three 240 foot flat top wires, a 70 foot vertical section, a 60 foot horizontal linear loaded section and was over 64 130 foot long ground radials. It was electrically resonant on approximately 1000 kc.

Don,

Some pretty decent stuff for Summer. I am still working on my vertical.
I now have 24 radials and it is better.  I still need Fallon 750, but I
may have to wait until Fall as KXL is so strong now.

Patrick
