There may be an explanation; the owners have yet to find a separate
format for one of the stations. When KFTK (then KXOK) simulcast KPNT 105.7
on 97.1 after Sinclair Communications bought them (Emmis now owns the station);
they did so until the hard-edge Classic Rock format was available. 97.1 in St.
Louis now runs a conservative talk format.
