And let us not forget KURB 1510 - 250 watts Daytime - 2 towers DA - Mountlake Terrace, WA. KOOD went off in early 1969. The two towers were in Steilacoom. KREN was closed down by the state tax collector. Two towers just behind the studio - next to highway 167. KBVU - 1330 was located in the Bellevue marsh -- just down the road from were 1540 is today. The tall 1330 tower was taken down and sat in the marsh for about 4 years until stolen. One of the first reports of the big Alaskan earthquake was on 1330. One of the stations staff was on the phone with a person in Anchorage, AK when it hit. 1330 went live with the news. It was a 1 KW daytimer - Non-DA with CP for 5 KW Days - Non-DA. MTM
