Re: [IRCA] Why? It's easy.

8 bucks sounds cheap enough -- but how much does it cost for a basic home or car radio ?  How much are the set-up fees and do you have to have a credit card ??    Don't you need a seperate radio -- one for in car and one for home or office use.  If not - doesn't it cost more to convert the mobile car unit into a base or home/office receiver ??   And 8 bucks is the monthly fee today - what will the fee be next year - or the year after ??   Doesn't the internet require a connection by dial up / DSL or cable ?  What are those fees ?   You can't get hooked up to the internet in the car can you ?  You will need a special hook-up and computer to be mobile correct ?  So how much does that cost.    Doesn't  Radio Shack sell a low cost tuneable AM - FM - Shortwave radio that sells for under $ 250.00 that can go any where and be used in home or office ?    And there are no mon! thly fees to listen to any of the over 5,000 Standard AM or over 6,000 FM broadcast stations in the United States.    I'll go for listening to my old  8 dollar - AM/FM portable radio myself.   It gives me access to any radio station in America.  FREE.  Mike McKenna
