Rene:
First of all thank you for running the DX tests. I received your QSL for WFIL
about a week ago. Although WFIL is a regular here in Maryland, I would like to
express my appreciation for taking the time to run the test.
I too noticed hash on 620 last week and I suspected WIP because I heard
the telltale "burbling" noise on 610 when I tuned in LSB and USB. I can null out the
hash, but it is strong enough at times on 620 to make listening annoying,
In other news, WTOP turned their IBOC off yesterday but was back on this
morning before local sunrise, I wonder if they are testing or something. The hash
was noticiable on my locals on 1480 and 1520 which supposedly also cover at least
parts of the Washington, DC metro Area. I have to wonder how much interference it
is producing for those stations.
