Hold onto that first edition, Steve....somebody was offering one for $50 on 
some online bookstore I believe.  Not to say that he got it, but pretty 
astonishing to ask.   I believe there were two printings of the first 
edition; I wonder if that is significant to the collector?

It puts a whole new slant on the idea of "investing" in the fourth edition.

And yes, there was a second edition....1983 I believe.

Finally, did you know that there was a German translation of that edition, 
dated 1987, "Technischer Fuhrer Fur DXer", assembled by German DXer Wilhelm 
Herbst?
