[IRCA] Re: Radio Cadena Habana on 1100 kHz

After I sent my earlier e-mail, I realized that my
cross-posting to lists that many of us subscribe to
(meaning you'll get multiple copies of the same e-mail)
may have been a little "over the top." Please accept
my apologies -- I really wasn't meaning to brag or
anything like that.

I have been keeping records of my MW DX since 1969
(roughly). I all this time, I have never heard
Radio Cadena Habana until last night. To the best
of my knowledge, I can't recall reading a logging
of it in either the IRCA or NRC journals.

There's a Cuban list by Harold Frodge that is linked
off of the CorazonDX webpage, but the last update to
that list was in late 2001. It lists Cadena Habana
on 1080, 1090, 1100, and 1120. But, as we all know,
fixed stations on assigned frequencies has never been
a high priority to the Cuban government (except maybe
Radio Habana Cuba on SW, but even they pull a "sneaky"
every now and then).

BTW, what's the track record for verifying Cuban MW
stations? I see many reports of Cuban MW stations,
but no confirmations.

Again, sorry for the confusion with my earlier
e-mail.
