I'm only familiar with the Sony 2010 by reputation.

I use the Palstar R30CC attached to either a Kiwa MW loop, a Wellbrook ALA 1530, or a home brew loop, and have had pleasing results on BCB.
I'm also using a Kenwood KT-8300, same antenna, that I wouldn't trade for any radio on the market (that I know of).

There have been no problems with the R30CC, and I would purchase another one ... However, I cannot be counted in the group who believes it DXs really well with only 20 feet of wire. The Palstar/Select-A-Tenna (M) is a decent combination but you would perhaps have better results constructing a loop.
