X-FLARE X-FLARE: A very brief X1-class solar flare erupted from sunspot 691 today at 1145 UTC. It’s too early to know if the explosion hurled a coronal mass ejection (CME) toward Earth; probably not, because brief explosions typically don’t generate CME’s. For more see: http://spaceweather.com/ |
