Re: [IRCA] Clear Channel

Hi All,
Remember that the IRCA is dedicated to the Broadcast Band and it will continue to be the number one reason we exist. My local paper published a complaint I wrote them a few days ago, about my local KRKT changing formats. Clear Channel's exaustive audience research indicated it was going to be either progressive or foreign language programming. Obviously the audience research is a joke, and for Albany Oregon, particularly the second choice. The point is, poorly chosen broadcast / programming techniques or management / owner tactics may degrade certain aspects of the hobby, but still when I DX the BCB, it continues to be alot of fun. I still enjoy simply listening to the shortwave giants as well as DXing the tropical bands but as far as I'm concerned BCB is where my heart is and that's "where it's at"!
