All-Jewish station Radio Shalom hits the airwaves tonight

Radio Shalom, an all-Jewish station that will feature programming in
French, English and Hebrew, launches tonight at 9 on 1650 AM.
The station will be on the air around the clock every day except
Saturday. Its schedule includes David Lazzar's Rocking Rabbi show,
Stan Asher's culture-oriented Montreal Jewish Magazine and a variety
of shows offering information on news, health, finance and cooking,
among other topics.
The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission
(CRTC) granted its approval last year to the station, which was
previously heard on the Internet. Its call letters are CJRS.
