[HCDX] Logs from NH-USA, week ending August 26th



PERU, 6019.6, R. Victoria, 0840-0855, Aug 21,
Portuguese. 2 OM w/ religous talk and presumed
listener phone-in. Passing mention of "La Voz de la
Liberacion". Fair. (Barbour-NH)

"BELARUS", 6120, R. Racja via Warsaw, *2201-2231*, Aug
20, Russian. Presumed IS and YL w/ ID. YL and OM w/
talks b/w lite musical selections. ID in passing at
2226. Poor under QRN. (Barbour-NH)

ARGENTINA, 6124.48, presumed R.Baluarte, 2357-0012,
Aug 24, Spanish. Music poking through QRN. Announcer
at 0001 but no chance for any ID/details. Back to
music at 0003, completely buried under QRN by 0012.

PALAU, 9965, T8BZ, 1048-1102, Aug 25, Mandarin. YL at
t/in. Instrumental music at 1059, YL w/ mention of
Palua followed by ID, fanfare at 1100 then another ID.
Fair. (Barbour-NH)

The morning (local) of August 25 had a nice window to
SE Asia at 1100 on the 41 and 31 meter bands. In
addition to 9965-Palua, a quick scan revealed usable
signals from 9525-Indonesia, 7235-Singapore,
7275-Taiwan, 7280-China and 7295-Malaysia.
Unfortunately, I was unable to stay with it as I had
to go to work.
