[HCDX] Brazilians and Indos
BRAZIL 6135 R. Aparecida 0925-0933 Pleasant ZY Pops, 0927 live M anncr
briefly, then couple canned anmnts including a promo/ID, and back to mx at
0929. Live M anncr returned at 0932. Fairly nice signal but QRM from
equal strength Santa Cruz on 6134.8. //9629.98 which was clear but
weaker. (Valko 23 August)
BRAZIL 6080.15 R. Novas de Paz 0936-0946 Easy pleasant ZY mx, M anncr
briefly between songs at 0938 but just too difficult to copy due to pres.
HCJB QRM. 0940 M anncr returned, then back to more mx, and same M again at
0944. // much better 9515 although a bit fady. (Valko 23 August)
BRAZIL 9645.24 R. Bandeirantes 0951 just tlk by M and W in PT while
tuned in briefly, and unmistakable cat meowing SFX played very often as
they have in the past. 0952 ads. Ment of Brasil. Fady. Off freq quite a
bit. There was a signal on 11925.23, but it wasn't strong enough to get
any reasonable audio. Quite a few ZYs on the bands this morning. (Valko

BRAZIL 9664.98 R. Marumby Hrd M tlking around 0947 on tune
through. Came back at 0954 and caught canned ad followed by complete
canned ID anmnt w/freqs by M, then easy ZY Pop song 0956. (Valko 23 August)
BRAZIL 9530.03 R. Trans Mundial (pres.) 0959 pleasant PT (possibly rel.)
mx, M anncr briefly in PT, fanfare, then more tlk by M over mx. Poss.
canned ID anmnt at 1002 by M w/sev. ments of "kilohertz" and AM but just
couldn't copy an ID. Different M anncr at 1004 over mx. Will have to keep
an ear on this freq to get an recording of the ID. (Valko 23 August)
CANADA 6039.94 RCI via Sackville 1006 chatter in EG by M and W
hosts. W switched over to CH at 1008 in mid-stream giving e-mail
addr. China Wx at 1008 including several cities. Very strong of
course!! Off freq. (Valko 23 August)
BRAZIL 6104.96 R. Filadelfia (pres.) Tlk by M anncr in definite PT
1016-1019. Not //9625. Just too weak and presumably too late. (Valko 23
August)
INDONESIA 3976.06 RRI Pontianak 1047 Koran mixing w/Hams here tlking
about Golf. 1048 immediately into pleasant Lagu Lagu at end of
Koran. Fairly decent signal. Seems like every DX target in the 80 mb is
always covered by Hams. (Valko 23 August)
UNID. 3995.03 RRI Kendari?? Just very weak mx at 1052. Of course there
was a Ham net right on top of it!! (Valko 23 August)
