beacon is JBA. Always nice to get this one; only wish there were more
from Latin America - even on air any more? I go thru the complete RNA
list arranged by ITU country,

Dec, frequencies meriting intense attention especially during
`auroral` conditions:

330 UAM, Stgo de Cuba
385 PTP, Guadeloupe
415 SLU, St Lucia

There are also a number in Brasil = 7 reported in 2024; Ecuador, 6
reported this year but I omit as too far; and at the end starting with
X, somewhere in International Waters or unID. Colombia & Venezuela had

** U S A. 293 MCW kHz, Dec 20 at 0713 UT, only ID copiable is FBY,
FairBurY, Nebraska, but tuning 292 USB I can tell there is a second
carrier beating from a slightly different frequency. Most likely UI,
qUIncy IL, as definitely logged elsewhen. RNA does not show exact
carrier frequencies, but LSB and USB offsets: FBY 1028/1005, UI

UNIDENTIFIED. 1053 kHz, Dec 20 at 0420 & 0446, only JBA TA carrier in
two full-band 9/kHz sweeps at 1 kHz below in USB. Unclear why
something would have an advantage here. MWlist shows Talksport UK 150
kW plus several lower-power synchros still exist; 20+5 kW from COPE
Spain; 400 kW from Romania (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
