** CUBA. 15230, June 30 at 0107, RHC is on at S8/S9 with modulation breakup in English // 6000 at S9+20/30 with same breakup. 15230 is not and never has been an intentional English frequency. ** EAST TURKISTAN. 11830, June 30 at 0105, song with good signal direct. Shouldn`t there be `news` this early in an hour? EiBi shows CRI Spanish to S America at 2300-0300 via Kashgar, land of imperialist ChiCom genocide against Uyghurs and other Moslems (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 1020, June 30 at 2029 check, KOKP Perry is still off. Must have had serious damage in June 26 windstorm (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 1170, June 30 at 2030, KOTV-AM Tulsa: was to change calls from KTSB and format from sports as of June 26 but not checked until now vs high noise level: Oklahoma weather, then news by local anchors, 1936 more Oklawx. Sounds like it is ``News on 6`` subchannel of KOTV[TV!]. Now that makes some sense, but is that it 24/7? (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 27184.5, June 30 at 0110, S9+20 of JBM praise music, and also on 27224.9, the Enid CBer. EiBi shows VOA in KNK Sat & Sun at 1430-1500; to be followed daily from 1500 by VOA Hausa via Thailand! Odd site for W African service, but I had already tuned out. KNK means KinyaRwanda-KiRundi. NOTE! Digging into FCC, normal patterns are very similar, lobes NW/SE or NW/SSE, both with deep null toward KDKA, i.e. THISAWAY. We should not be hearing much of it, if at all. One STA authorization which expired earlier this year, was to use night pattern at day, which should not make much difference here. Sounds to me like they are really non-direxional, surely not aiming for KDKA, but not bothering to protect it. Years ago opening up Clear channels for new 50 kW stations in the West was contingent on protecting the legacy easterners! NRC DXTRA NEWS list of STAs updated to March 25: ``KCKN NM Roswell – STA for U4 30000/50000, night pattern 24 hours (expires 2024-07-01).`` So something may be about to change (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 12000, June 30 at 0105, AM carrier probably RHC on 2 x 6000, but intermittent talk on USB, maybe Spanish, 2-way riding it conveniently?
