** ALGERIA. 17600, June 25 at 0706, Ifrikya FM, S1/S3 in French but almost readable, SSOB surprisingly and especially since hardly anything is propagating on 15 MHz band. Much of the daytime, 17600 has been JBA here. Used to include some 5 minutes in English sometime during the 06-07 & 18-19 UT hours, not caught recently (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This is a formerly used R. Vanuatu frequency, nothing else scheduled now, so surely this explains why 7260 is no longer heard before 0700, as I had just reconfirmed a few minutes earlier. But are they moving to 7260 after 0700? NO, still nothing. 3945 is again being reported as the next frequency, but still lacking the helpful harmonix 7890 & 11835 it used to provide. 0700 is too early for me to get 3945 if on, and the harmonix are still suppressed. Other reports: ``Lucio Otavio Bobrowiec, 3945 kHz, R. Vanuatu, VUT; 06/25, 0928-0937 YL, OM. 35333, 7890, 11835 off/inaudible (LOB). Tecsun 310ET, Dipole 18m, Embu SP Brasil`` Wolfgang Bueschel: ``9959.998 kHz, two radio signals here on that channel at 0624 UT, probably R Vanuatu, Pacific radio program. S=9+5dB on Edmonton, AB-CAN`` EiBi still shows 9960 but at 2300-0458 only. Then 7260 at 0458-1105 & 1959-2259; but also 3945 at 0458-1105 & 1845-1959. Aoki shows 3945 at 0600-1000 & 1900-2000; 5040 at 2000-2400; 5055 at 2100-0100; 7260 at 0000-0559; and no others. Yet different info in HFCC: the very first entry is VUT on 2485 at 1000-1900; 3945 at 0600-1100 & 1900-2000; 5040 at 2100-0100; 7260 at 2000-0700; 9960 at 2300-0700; all daily for the entire A24 season. RNZ has filed those frequencies for them as they also do for Solomon Islands. Vanuatu have only one 10 kW transmitter, so much of these skeds must be taken as possible alternatives (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 2300 UT June 25
