Logs
** OKLAHOMA. More about 50/50 kW from Tulsa on 1170: ``Following up on
this thread, they announced a format change on June 26. KTSB will
cease to exist after that; the new station will be KOTV AM. They
haven`t announced the new format, but I suspect more right wing talk.
I actually have enjoyed local sports for 6 hours a day here; I'll
switch to KTBZ 1430 for my somewhat-local sports fix. 73 Chris KC5IIE
Krug, Tulsa, OK`` (via Glenn Hauser, Enid, WORLD OF RADIO 2247)

** TURKEY. Re a VOT segment title, Bill Tilford replies: ``Actually, I
think the English show is `Türkiye's Geomarked Products`. I have been
doing a little reading and Türkiye has some place-of-origin
authenticity procedures not that unlike some cheeses in France, for
example`` (via Glenn Hauser, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2246 monitoring: ``From: Richard
Lemke, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, the desk of Richard’s listening
Post, Radio: JRC NRD-535 HF, Antenna: random long wires in the trees.
Dear Glenn: less choice to hear World of Radio on WRMI:
9395, 2330, only, start, lightning in area, close down, 2359, June 11
UTC 2024 [Tue]
9395, World of Radio not heard ?? looks like two frequencies are used
at 0130, one I can hear is now canceled, 0159, June 13 UTC 2024 [Thu]
(Lemke, Richard -AB)``

NOT confirmed UT Thursday June 13 at 0145 the 0130 on WRMI 9395: music
playing. Sked now shows a new 15-minute program has been stripped in
at 0130, so the next quarter hour becomes music fill, not even a
semi-WOR.

NOT confirmed UT Thursday June 13 at 0145 the 0130 on WRMI 5010, since
that is OFF the air, no signal into Bonaire or Georgia SDRs. WOR
presumably still on sked there.

Confirmed Thursday June 13 at 1646 the 1630 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
6160.002, S7/S9 but noisy into UTwente. 1700 is nominal start of other
frequency 3975: it`s already on at 1657 but musical prélude.

WORLD OF RADIO 2247 contents: Antarctica [non], (Argentina non),
(Ascension), Brasil, China and non, Cuba, Finland and non, Germany,
Indonesia, Korea North, Mali non, (Netherlands), New Zealand,  North
America, Oklahoma, (Philippines), (Poland non), Romania, Scotland non,

** U S A. Re WEWN missing from 15610 & 12050, Glenn Tapley never
replied to my inquiry, but to Tony Pavick on June 13: ```I contacted
Glenn Tapley at WEWN/EWTN and received this reply: ``We have some
major equipment issues. English needed a new tube for the Continental
transmitter. It took 8 months to have one made and delivered. It
failed, so back to square one. The transmitter carrying Spanish
decided to fail. Parts are ordered and hopefully we can be back on
soon.`` Tony Pavick, Hope BC Canada``` (Glenn Hauser, WORLD OF RADIO
2247)
