HCDX
January 20th, 2024. First Trans-Atlantic Longwave Beacon reception of the season. German Beacon DC0DX heard at 0434 UTC on .475728 mhz. Signal strength -29 DB in WSPR mode. RX: Palstar R30A and antenna horizontal loop, 529 feet long, 30 feet high. Several years ago I logged DL7NN. Weather currently 11 degrees F. Unfortunately, at least, for longwave, the cold will be ending. Bill Smith, Douglas, MA
