Hauser
** CHINA [and non]. 11790, Nov 28 at 2321, CRI English discussion of
US/China relations, better signal and modulation here for SE Asia from
x site, than // 5990 Cuba relay (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Nov 28 at 2320, NO signal on RHC #1 legacy frequency,
supposedly scheduled 2100/0600 or beyond, also mornings. Something`s
always wrong at RHC. Unfound now on any other 25m channel (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** JAPAN. 13705, Nov 28 at 2315 Japanese language lessons, ``...desu
ka`` over and over, with music ditty, during Thai hourthird at
2300-2320, NHK S9/+10 yet off the back, ex-13650 no longer colliding
with pointless China/Cuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MADAGASCAR [and non]. 11610, Nov 28 at 2318, S9/+10 of dead air,
probably MWV failed to turn off by 2258 after Arabic; they have
nothing scheduled 2300/0300 so why not, no hurry? Seemed slightly
off-frequency, and adjacent to 11615 Chinese = jamming and/or RFA
TINIAN this hour only (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6955 USB, Nov 28 at 2310, rock music with yelling,
buried in local line noise level of S9+20 until R75 NB engaged to read
S9+10. Many logs here say it`s Thunder Chicken:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,121904.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.005, Nov 28 at 2300, VOT not off the air,
but can detect it at S9+10/20 only by engaging the R75 Noise Blanker,
otherwise S9+30; still no pleasure to listen. But VG at 2345 into
UTwente where exactified. 2347 ``always-by-your-side`` promo, music.
2353 s/off with correct but partial English sked. Something`s always
awry at Ankara; 2354 IS; 2356* just in time to avoid pre-German,
uncovering the 6CI which was always audible under (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 26110 NBFM, Nov 28 at 1605 UT, not full quieting but audible
at S6 peaks above S4/S5 noise level, remote news report and weather
segment, no doubt KMK282, the studio audio from KOVR or KMAX,
Stockton/Sacramento CA. Also propagating, the K6FRC beacon on 28300
CW. Otherwise I always have a local birdie AM carrier on 26111 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2218 monitoring: confirmed UT
Tuesday November 28 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, S9+25 into Missouri SDR.

Also confirmed UT Tuesday November 28 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, poor into
Missouri SDR with what sounds like Cuban pulse jamming, not heard
otherwise on this frequency.

Also confirmed Tuesday November 28 at 1411 and still 1422 the 1400 on
WRMI 9955, undermodulated, S7/S9 direct and not cut short like last
week. Next:

0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1000 UT Wednesday Unique R, NSW 5035-USB
1030 UT Wednesday Unique R, NSW 5035-USB [previous #2217]
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW or 5130v?
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S
0230 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW

Thanks to Joe Caberlin, Port Colborne, Ontario for some US$ ,
preferably by MO or check on a US bank to:
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702

Or via PayPal not necessarily in US funds to
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7489.95 approx., Nov 28 at 2323, WBCQ back on air at S9+20
direct, something in English. Appears the offset-minus primary
transmitter has been restored after weak sigs on plus side or none at
all (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5085, Nov 28 at 2305, WTWW still active and S9+40/50 direct;
after gospel screed, preacher gives date as morning of Nov 26, 2023,
i.e. Sunday only two days ago, at Laporte Church of Christ: so instead
of decades-old PPPP recordings, something new from SFAW HQ. Also the
JBA spur carriers about +/- 13 kHz (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search of entire band at
9/kHz intervals, November 28 at 0430: only 711 het on 710, and rather
strong but no audio pulled. A few years ago, one of the Cuban Rebeldes
was thought to be exactly +1 kHz off-frequency, but surely more likely
the Moroccan imperialist station in Western Sahara. WRTH 2023 shows 8
Rebeldes on 710 from 1 to 200 kW. The 400 kW Moroccan // on 936 used
to be a regular carrier here but has been inactive a few years (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7555, re my unID noise Nov 24 at 0809, this reply: ``Hi
Glenn, I checked 7555 kHz last night from here in Marahau, New
Zealand, and while I couldn't see any DRM signal, I did see two
adjacent narrower band digital utility transmissions. Vastly different
strengths here, but the lesser one (lower in frequency) peaked up
around 0730 UTC. The result did look very similar to a DRM signal, but
was not. I wonder if that is what you spotted? Cheers, Chris -- Chris
Mackerell, Sandy Bay-Marahau Road, Marahau, RD2, Motueka 7197, New
Zealand chris@owdjim.gen.nz``

Maybe, but I don`t recall it being unbalanced, rather like normal DRM.
This late the computer is closed down so I won`t be trying a remote to
tune DRM (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 2323 UT November 29
