Hauser
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, Sat Nov 25 at 1800, LRA36 is already
talking, S5/S7 into Argentine remote vs noise level there around S5.
Lunch. 1854 next check, no signal. 1915 next2 check, back on with
music at S7/S8; 1920 mentions temp of +5 apparently current; over to
Eduardo in Misiones; 1925 Noticias Australes.

I still do detect a JBA reduced carrier by off-tuning downwards in
USB. And it still sounds marginally better at 15475.98 than 15476 as
so many report it, even ignoring the carrier. Further chex but no time
to pay attention, still going at 2046, 2200, 2307. 2354 just as I
check, an RNASG ID, music.

It`s still going past 2400, so by 0006 November 26 I am tuning for it
directly via my 100-foot E/W longwire. And there it is, JBA music at
S5, its own S the same as the noise level. First time in months I`ve
tried for and heard successfully, but for any content still need the
Argentine remote. I also check UTwente in Europe, which is now getting
it slightly better than I am. K-index of 4 may help. 0024 still
detectable at Arg remote but losing out to noise level. BTW, neighbors
have already put up their flashing Xmas lights, so we`re in for a
sesquimonth of additional RF noise like every yearend (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** FRANCE [and non?]. 6005 & 7555, I am pleased to see that my Nov 24
obs of DRM have already been entered by Nov 25 in:
https://www.drmrx.org/drm-broadcasts-shortwave-by-frequency/
Chris Mackerell of WOR affiliate World FM in New Zealand, maintains
this (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KIRITIMATI. Ron Howard replies Nov 25 to my latest report about R.
Kiribati: ``Glenn - This past week (Nov 19+) I have also been checking
846, here at Asilomar State Beach, and like you, have had no hint of a
carrier (0630+ UT). Is probably off the air or running extremely low
power? Ron``. GB on `Calling All Radio Nutzzz` also mentioned us about
this not being heard as he also dealt with the other Xmas Island in
the Indian Ocean. He pronounced K- and K- as if in English rather than
approximating `kuh-ris-mas` and `kir-ee-bass` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. RF 17, K17JN-D, Enid`s only local TV signal, has made a
lot of changes since it reactivated after a month of black and
silence. Taking a close look at the PSIP ID on a larger screen, I see
it claims to be K17JI-D!!!! They can`t even get their own callsign
right. FCC LMS confirms it`s still K17JN-D, while K17JI-D is in Fresno
CA! The lineup is different and differently labeled, checked at 0450
UT Nov 25:
17-1, K17JI-D [sic] = main 3ABN channel
17-2, 3ABN-PR = Proclaim
17-3, skipped, why?
17-4, 3ABN-ES = eSpanish
17-5, 3ABN-KD = Kids = Hope Channel
17-6, skipped, why?
17-7, 3ABN-RD Audio only
17-8, 3ABN-RL Audio only - but silent!
17-9, skipped, why?
17-10, 3ABN-MR Audio only
FCC shows it`s licensed until 2030y to Clarion Broadcasting Group,
Ltd. Is this a front for 3ABN or a different entity renting to 3ABN? I
suppose the same jumbling may apply to many/all other 3ABN
satellators. I`ve already sent this to rabbitears.info so we`ll see if
and how correxions appear there (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** TAIWAN. 9405, Nov 25 at 1628 S5/S7 of M&W in English, mentioning
Taiwan; could this be CRI? No, it`s really RTI as in EiBi at 16-17 for
S Asia, and not even jammed. Apparently their last/only English hour
as the other one at 03-04 on 15320 has not been listed or confirmed.
Wed at 1645 on 9405 is supposed to be `Status Update` as in
DX/SWL/Media Programs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.017, Nov 25 at 2309, VOT is not off the air,
going from news to music, S9+40 into UTwente, with a squeal;
presumably different transmitter and also further offset than usual.
2315 `Captain`s Log` about a fishing town with a lighthouse on the
Bosphorus. 2320 music. 2325 multi-lingual ID filler reel. 2328
`Gripping Piles` on environmental impact of fashion industry, repeat
by the badax. 2333 ``always-by-your-side`` promo, music. 2337
`Turkey`s Geomarked [sic] Products`` about processing almonds. The
undercurrent from the CCCCCCI is increasing by ratio and the squeal
remains annoying. 2340 music. 2344 ``with-you-every-hour`` promo,
music. 2349 s/off by badax with usual totally WRONG A23 English times
and frequencies. 2351 IS. 2356 restart IS with German IDs twice per
minute. 2400 timesignal about 12 seconds early even considering
internet delay, opening German, ``Liebe hoerer...``, then chopped off,
in time for accurate timesig from East Turkistan, std. denunciation,
ChiCom anthem/theme, etc. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 891 kHz, Nov 25 at 0741, JBA carrier vs WLS, presumably
Algeria; nothing else this late checking a few other 9/kHz splits,
684, 774, 855 kHz Spain. Need to do some full TA carrier bandscans
much earlier in evening, but propagation has been degraded lately
