Logs
** BOTSWANA. 15610, Oct 20 at 1453, S8/9+5 unID language, not WEWN!
EiBi shows VOA KUrdish at 14-15 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CANADA. 28168 CW, Oct 20 at 2013, EEEEE VVV DE VA3KAH VA3KAH
VA3KAH. WI5V roster:
28.168 VA3KAH C KAH-SHE ISLAND, ONTARIO # 5W, DIPOLE new June 2011 QSY
from 28.172 4 May 15. Where is Kah-She Island?? Georgian Bay, not
Kingston. Read all about it:
https://www.qrz.com/db/VA3KAH
VA3KAH Canada flag Canada
Ian Douglas Baines, 33 Faircrest Blvd, Kingston, ON K7L 4V1, Canada
LOTs of other 10m beacons in now, no time to chase more but including
widely dispersed regulars XE1FAS, K6FRC, VE7MTY; and USB phone
activity (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MEXICO. 6200 AM, Oct 20 at 0635, JBA carrier again presumed from
pirate Hikari FM testing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 95.7, Oct 20 at 1850 UT, KXLS Lahoma/Enid is OFF! Instead
on caradio, weak gospel huxter; at 1853 overridden by KKAJ ID, like a
meteor burst; or airplane scatter, in & out. 2000 local still off and
Bott Radio Network singing ID; by 2007 I find it running about 1
second behind 800 KQCV. This all correlates with WTFDA DB:
K239BT KQCV-800 95.7 THE VILLAGE OK RELIGIOUS TEACHING BOTT RADIO
NETWORK 0.25 0.25 211.0 0.0 35-33-26 97-28-31 D2ED
KXLS 95.7 LAHOMA OK ADULT CONTEMPORARY MY 95.7 14.0 14.0 137.0 137.0
36-32-13 98-00-39 4DEC Adult Hits
KKAJ-FM 95.7 DAVIS OK COUNTRY TEXOMA COUNTRY 50.0 50.0 140.0 140.0
34-23-50 96-55-17 2A71 KKAJ Texoma Country 95.7 Country

The Village is a NW OKC suburb, where I dwelt 1954-1961y; unnecessary
translator. I`d think KXLS might QRM it. Davis is way south in OK, 221
km = 137 miles from Enid.

ALSO OFF, sibling station of KXLS, at exactly same transmitter site:
KNID 107.1 NORTH ENID OK COUNTRY 107.1 KNID 14.0 14.0 137.0 137.0
36-32-13 98-00-39 3327 KNID Country Title & Artist
But two other siblings on 97.7 & 106.3, at separate sites, are not
off. Nothing else heard on 107.1 but I see Bott has another overkill
OKC translator there, El Reno. Something unID on 107.3; several
possibilities around OK and KS. Both 95.7 and 107.1 are back on by
next check circa 2200 UT (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, Oct 20 after 2200, VOT English with VG S9+15/25
signal and even VG modulation today into Maryland SDR; includes
`Weekly Analysis` on Turkish relations with Israel until 2228, then
multi-lingual ID filler reel; 2230 `Feeling Supreme/The Healing
Spring` about diarrhea and nutrition, just right for supper time.
After s/off announcement IS & ID still going, switching to German at
2256; 2300 timesignal and s/on German; starts news, 2301.5* chopoff
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U K. eQSL received Oct 20 for Woofferton 80th anniversary special,
and reply:

``Dear Glenn, Greetings from Encompass in the UK and thank you for
your reception report of the '80 Years of Woofferton' special
broadcast. Apologies for the delay in our response - we have been
inundated with reports and are absolutely delighted the programme was
so well heard and received. I agree with your sentiments RE Rampisham
and Skelton!

You may be interested to know we will be repeating the programme on
WRN English (all networks) at 21:00 GMT on Sunday evening, 22nd
October.

By way of confirmation, I have great pleasure in attaching an e-QSL
card. Should you be the winner of our e-QSL competition with a special
Woofferton memento, we will be in touch. Again, thanks for listening
and getting in touch. Best Wishes, Steve

This recording whilst studio-quality, runs only 42+ minutes, not
including the last 18 minutes on air consisting of all those interval
signals and IDs from WOF clients thru the years, repeating and
repeating. But there`s this on the BDXC iog:

``I recorded the transmission using my Icom IC-705 with 20m long wire
on 17785 kHz and have uploaded it to Google Drive and Dropbox

Also linx to podcast services.

Confirmed Friday October 20 at 2030 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323
kHz, S9+10/20 into nearby Noale SDR, but with considerable pop music
CCI! Only other thing listed on at this hour by mwlist is 30 watts
from Leeds, UKQOGBANI; or has Smooth Radio resumed? It`s even worse by
2100 and definitely in Hungarian, so Romania`s 15 kW minority service
must have been expanded past 1900, or 2000?

Also confirmed first SWBC, Friday October 20 at 2200 on WRMI 9955,
S7/S9 into Maryland SDR, over Cuban pulse jamming, which I was not
hearing a few minutes before 2200. Next:

UNSOLICITED TESTIMONIAL

``Dear Mr. Hauser, Thank you very much for your work for the community
of shortwave enthusiastics! I really appreciate it. I listen to your
broadcast every Saturday via the Astra satellite. I hope you can go on
with W. of Radio as long as you want to do it. Therefore you find some
U$ in this letter as my contribution! Greetings from the Grand Dutchy
to Oklahoma. Yours sincerely, Arnold Heiles, Heinerscheid,
Luxembourg``

One may also contribute in US funds but not necessarily, via PayPal
to:
woradio at yahoo.com

Or MO, check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15770, Oct 20 at 2023, classical music on WRMI, S9+10/20;
yes, it`s `Encore` now sked this hour on Fridays (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 7490 -72 Hz = 7489.928, Oct 21 at 0000, WBCQ with `AAAWWW`,
also on 5130+ cutting away from Trumpcrap, no signal on 3265+; and
6160 - 68 Hz = 6159.932, after ID continues with some other far-right,
far-christian huxter, contrary to program sked which claims it`s also
`AAAWWW`. Hmmm, sounds sorta like Biermann, but on BCQ? No, shortly
mentions `Intelligence Report`, which is supposedly sked only at 0000
UT Tue on 7490. Right into how to stock up on guns and ammo. Claims
USA is Soviet-occupied? Back to AAAWWW: at 0037 dated as Oct 20, and
simulcasting only on 7490 & 5130 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** UZBEKISTAN. 15475, Oct 20 at 1452, JBA carrier, among many on the
band but this one could QRM LRA36 if overlaps with its alleged 15-17
UT sked; not quite per EiBi:
15475 1300-1330 CLA Nippon no Kaze K KRE /UZB
15475 1330-1400 CLA Furusato no Kaze J KRE /UZB
15475 1400-1430 UZB Filler music KRE /UZB
15475 1430-1500 CLA Furusato no Kaze J KRE /UZB
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Oct 20 at
0329-0334, on the R75 with N/S interior shortwire: 1566?, 1044, 999,
855-2=strongest, 774-2, 711, 585, 576, 531 kHz.

Then I switch to the Wellbrook loop aimed E/W and get slightly better
results tuning back upward at 0334-0342: 531, 576-2, 639-2, 684, 711,
729, 774, 855-2, 882-2, 909, 954, 999, 1017, 1026, 1044, 1107-2, 1125,
1296, 1305-2, 1422, 1503, 1521 kHz. -2 means at least 2 carriers
beating.

Might have pulled a few more, but all the splash from obstructive
North Americans on 10/kHz channels is fierce. Here in deep North
America, with my ordinary equipment, getting any axual TA audio is
rare. But hey, a signal is a signal, making the trip. Many of these
I`m sure are Spain but there are some intriguing other possibilities
listed I won`t go into now.

Trans-Pacific: 846, R. Kiribati, Kiritimati, so far have not detected
this, if on the air? Would be audible as early as 0430 at least into
Hawaii SDR, and of course direct long after TAs absorbed in daytime;
anyway, nothing over 3 kW in Europe (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 5041.65 USB, Oct 20 at 0712, 2-way in Spanish, very
quick interchanges with cambios, JBA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
