Logs
** CHINA [and non]. 11895, Oct 4 at 0640, S1/S3 direct, mixture of two
signals with beat, so this time it`s CNR1 jamming plus RFA Mandarin
via SAIPAN (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 11860, Oct 4 at 1457, R. Martí with whine QRM, more
of a problem here than Cuban noise jamming, i.e. the defective Sa`udi
transmitter of Republic of Yemen Radio; no doubt assisting the Cuban
jammers in the target area (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KURDISTAN [non]. 11510, Oct 4 at 1454, JBA music, presumably
current frequency for Recep`s Turkiyeish jamming and/or Dengê Gel, via
Uzbekistan? On interior longwire due to storming (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Wed Oct 4 at 2208 after news, token English from SNR,
feature interview about an exhibition on ``Feminine Power in Art and
Belief``. VG direct, others 17715, 15520, 11670 hardly usable (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, Oct 4 at 2202 & 2230 chex, NO signal direct from
VOT English; something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2210 monitoring: NOT confirmed,
Tuesday October 3 at 2330 on WRMI 9395, rather 2-month-old #2202 from
early August! WRMI`s new server setup began Oct 2, and was supposedly
going to continue airing latest 2210. The previous airing at 0030 Oct
3 was also #2202 as noted by Richard Lemke.

``9395 kHz, an Old edition of WOR is played, S9 signal, static QRN,
0032, 0034, 0045 (45443), 0059, October 3 UTC 2023 [Tue]

9395, an Old edition of WOR is played, weak heard voice beginning,
2339, 2340, 2359 (45343-2) 2359, October 3 [Tue] (Lemke, Richard
-AB)``

Beginning UT Oct 4, I have made sure the remaining airtimes are really
latest 2210.

Confirmed 2210, Wednesday October 4 at 2100 on WBCQ 7490 -71 Hz into
Maryland SDR, S9+5/12. Next:

0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1400 UT Thursday WRMI 9955 to SSE [NEW; also webcast, phonecast;
jam?]

No new financial support this week, which might have been sent via MO
or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702.

Or via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds to:
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5085, Oct 4 at 0000, no signal yet from WTWW, supposed to
reactivate now; but *0010 cuts on JIP PPP SFA. For some reason,
Maryland SDR will not synch on it, But NH SDR displays frequency
within 0.5 Hz. Tuning direct it`s VG and also has reactivated JBA spur
carriers approx. plus/minus 12.9 kHz = 5072.1 & 5097.9, negligible but
utenoise circa 5098 might have a complaint about it. George McClintock
tells me there were more startup problems with program feed, and
Bishop Bob Biermann would not start yet tonight. Indeed, WTWW ID at
0100* and off.

Similar report: ``Hi Glenn! I sat on 5085 kHz on Oct 4 at 0000 UTC
waiting for WTWW to sign on. Not hearing anything, I thought once
again the station was having some issue getting on the air, so I tuned
out at 0005. I tuned back in at 0013 and the Pastor Pete Peters Show
was already in progress. At 0100, a male announcer read a five-second
ID “This is WTWW, Lebanon, Tennessee, USA”, which was followed by ten
seconds of guitar picking, perhaps an intro into a new program, before
the signal abruptly ended. I tuned out at 0102. Steve Howe, Saint
Albans, Vermont``

24 hours later, UT Oct 5 at 0000, standing by 5085 again for WTWW, no
signal yet; still nothing by 0010 as I wrap up this report (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7505, Oct 4 at 0627, S9+20 of dead air again from WRNO,
maybe will revive later with Mandarin as has been reported. One
wonders what kind of audience they expect on 20 degree beam, still
available 22-16, and never-used 15590 at 16-22 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. Oct 4 at 1820 UT, I`m QRX for the much publicized nationwide
emergency alert test: tuned to 91.7 KOSU, 740 KRMG, 12160 WWCR. First
heard on 91.7 saying it runs from 2:20 to 2:40 pm Eastern; a few sex
later on 740; 550 KFRM slow on uptake if ever; not heard interrupting
a SW station -- who cares about that?! However, it was over in much
less than a minute, stations resuming programming, as I hurriedly
scanned some other AM stations. As for what happened on cell phones, I
have no idea. Big deal? TV also on some cable channel, unknown as
can`t monitor everything at once. However, Optimum had warned us
yesterday this was coming and might have to reset cable tuners. There
was no real-time msg about this in my email inboxes, nor spam folders
-- who cares? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
