MYANMAR Myanmar Radio, MW Yangon Yay Kuu 576 kHz and central Nay Pyi Taw

some 370 north of Yangon - on MW 594 kHz, ending the local language trans-

mission at 14.59 UT with Buddhist chants, "Akasattata bhummata nato .... '

[a recitation of Buddhists all over the world as a way of expressing their

faith in the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha]. English broadcast begins

at 15.30 UT announcing SW 5985 kHz, 576 kHz and 594 kHz, starting

with a 15 minute news broadcast. Though, announced, 5985 kHz was off the

air on 17 Aug 2023.

MYANMAR THAZIN RADIO - MMR Thazin Radio from Puyin U Lwin northern site

some 575 kilometers north of Yangon, operated by Tatmadaw [Military] found

on 7345 kHz around 11.00 past 11.30 UT in native languages mixing with CRI

co-channel on 18 Aug 2023. Thanks to a listening tip from Pradip Kundu. On

MW Thazin Radio Puyin U Lwin operates on 639 kHz.

MMR Yangon shortwave too:

Just Aug 18 at 15.23 UT heard MMR Burmese on exact 5985 kHz on remote SDR in
Delhi India,

S=9+15dB. Though some heterodyning audio tones heard underneath.
