** AUSTRALIA [and non]. 10125 USB, July 27 at 0653, Oz accented hams again in QSO or net but JBA and still can`t copy any individual calls; on same frequency CW is HK3QQ, Bogotá, slowly sending letters in keyboard sequence with errors (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** COLOMBIA. 5909.952, July 27 at 0641, tropical music at S8/S9, better signal than usual from always off-frequency Alcaraván Radio. Brief burst of ``running water`` ute QRM. Manuel Méndez in Spain reports: ``Alcaravan Radio 5910 on air again after about 10 days out. Log in Oleiros, La Coruña, NW of Spain, Sangean ATS-909X, cable antenna, 8 meters. COLOMBIA, 5910, Alcaraván Radio, Puerto Lleras, 0450-0526, 27-07, religious and Latin American songs, Spanish, religious comments, Colombian songs “Llaneras”. 25432.`` However, I don`t think it had been totally off. In regular bandscans I had been crossing a JBA offset carrier, but not logged. Now there is also a JBA carrier on 6010, probably Brasil rather than still inactive sibling station LV de tu Conciencia. Ron Howard also replied: ``Greetings, Manuel, from California. July 27, at 0742 & 0910 UT, heard a decent level carrier on 5910 kHz, but no audio at all; normally in the past I always had good audio here.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2201) ** CUBA. 6100, July 27 at 0646, undermodulated Spanish wIth humbuzzwhine, no doubt RHC where something`s always wrong. 5025, July 27 at 0650, S9+20/30 of dead air except for some humbuzz, from R. Rebelde, something`s always wrong at Radio Cuba. David Crawford, FL replied to my previous reports, July 27 at 0156 UT: ``Tonight's treat is what sounds like video buzz, rather than the recently-typical Rebelde FM audio, on 5025. And after the one reported active "sunset" session, HM01 has been quiet again since, at least for the local midday and sunset schedules. I have not checked the madrugada scheduled times and freqs.`` Ron Howard, CA replies later on July 27: Cuba (5025) noted at 0743 & 0909 UT, with strong carrier, along with a strong hum, but no audio. Ron`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2201) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6869.1, July 27 at 0628, JBA presumed Late Night Lunatix, pirate, as Lucas Bandura, who got it identified, also noted it at 0453: ``On right now with music. Weak direct in British Columbia, S7 on the Northern Utah KiwiSDR.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 7620, July 27 at 0633 UT, JBA sportstalk, surprisingly here. Sounds like one of my strongest locals, 1390 KCRC, indeed matches and synchronized. Same program is on 1640 KZLS, but out of synch. How does this get on 7620? It fades a bit and is gone a few minutes later. Suspect external mixing with some strong real SW signal, but plus or minus 1390 leads to nothing likely on 6230 or 9210. Not an obvious harmonic: only even fundamental on MW would be 1270 X 6. Could be some station there on same net, but not in OK (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO ) ** OKLAHOMA. RF17, July 26 in daytime, K17JN-D is definitely back on air at usual local translator strength with satellator panoply of 3ABN subchannels; Enid`s only local TV signal, embarrassingly for a city of 50K. For a while we had locally programmed LPTV, KXOK 32, ``TV-OK``, gone as of 8 years ago. See my log report of July 21, 2015. At least I still have their mug as a souvenir (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** SPAIN. 17855, 17715, 15520, 11670, Wed July 26 at 2200, token English from SNR not checked at all as I was concentrating on ROMANIA in the absence of TURKEY. But I didn`t miss anything worthwhile. English is repeated at 0200 on webcast only July 27 - a retrospective about Spanish footballers! No news, no apology; I wonder how the elexion went?
