Glenn Hauser logs March 9, 2023
Friday, March 10 2023

Hauser
** BRAZIL. 9665v, March 9 at 0612 & 0729, NO signal from R. Voz
Missionária which is normally VG; nor from the only other 24h ZY on
31m, R. Nove de Julho, 9819.1, unusual coincidence. Checking since
Gary Pence alerted me that both were missing even unto nearby
Argentine remote, no 9819.1 at 0507, no 9665v at 0551. However a few
hours earlier same date at 0213, Wolfgang Bueschel heard RVM on
9664.889 and 5940.020 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2181)

** CHAD [non]. 9535, March 9 at 0613 after RHC should be finished,
Hornish-of-Africa music, i.e. R. Ndarason International sked via
Woofferton UK, S8/S9 with flutter (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6060, March 9 at 0735, S9+10/20 of dead air with some hum,
the only RHC still running. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 350 MCW kHz, March 9 at 1554 UT, RG, ND beacon at Will
Rogers World Airport, OKC, for the record, still missing, wonder if
for good? (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 910, March 9 at 0154 UT, classic rock dominating,
presumably still KVIS Miamuh instead of gospel huxtering, as in
earlier daytime report (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** PERU. 4810, March 9 at 0740, carrier, more than JBA but no
modulation detectable; vs CODAR and STANAG, presumably R. Logos not
turned off again (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [non]. 5960, March 9 at 2325, NO signal from VOT English
into UTwente, merely Chinese from XJPBS, Urumqi, EAST TURKISTAN, land
of imperialist Chinese genocide against Uighurs and other Moslems. Not
checked further (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2180 monitoring: confirmed UT
Thursday March 9 at 0130 on WRMIs: 5010, S9+10/20 into Bonaire
remote; 9395, S9+30 into Missouri, S9+15 into Maryland. At 0155
direct: 5010 S9/+10; 9395 S9+10/20.

WORLD OF RADIO 2181 contents: WOR time changes; Antarctica, Argentina
non, Botswana, Brasil, China non, Cuba and noon, (Ethiopia non),
France, Germany, International Vacuum, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan,
Korea North & South, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria and non, North
America, Philippines, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, UK, USA; AI as radio;
unidentified 9510; propagation outlook
(country mentioned along with others not in order)

Like our website, a noncommercial service for which financial support
is appreciated; this week from James Ferry, Thornville OH, ``Thanks
for providing SW frequency schedules`` with a contribution via PayPal
to woradio at yahoo.com - in US funds but not necessarily.

One may also contribute via postal MO or check on a US bank to:
Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330v, March 9 at 0155, WBCQ SuperStition is still off as it
has been for the past week since March 3 whenever checked day or
night; and not a twit from Allan Weiner about it, Still off at 1555
and later random chex (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2181)

** U S A, 1130, March 9 at 1555 UT, KLEY Wellington KS resuming its
dead-air service after a bit of musicking yesterday (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11603 approx., March 9 at 1600-1609, distorted talk
sounds like a gospel-huxter accent, spur? But then it`s intermittent,
like 2-way, best in LSB mode, but not pinned to any exact frequency.
Aha, I bet it`s 3rd harmonic of some ham on 80m, circa 3868 - nothing
heard there, but in daytime may not propagate while 11 MHz would. Nor
anything on X2 = 7736. If he`s able to make contact, there must be
some signal on the fundamental (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report despatched at 0205 UT March 10
