Yes, I later realized that when hearing the clear ``legal`` ID on the YouTube clip. As in WTFDA db, the intermediary is KMXB, i.e. what K268CS relays on 101.5, that is, the HD3 subchannel of KMXB which is a 100 kW on 94.1 licensed to Henderson, not LV. It seems neither FCC nor WTFDA knows what`s really programmed on that HD3! HD subchannel info is very deficient; does anyone or anyentity keep track of them? 73, Glenn Hauser On Saturday, March 4, 2023, 11:22:59 AM GMT+1, fmerrilljr--- via Hard-Core-DX <hard-core-dx@hard-core-dx.com> wrote:
Glen, I think that KDWN continues to exist as an HD-2 "primary" on one of the major FM stations, and the FM is merely translating that. That's apparently legal, because I've heard at least one that was doing that. A few years ago I heard a Bonner Springs KS translator on 102.5 as "Comedy 102.5" - and their legal ID as the HD-2 for, I think, the 94.9 biggie. So, yes, they can translate an HD subchannel, and in effect the translator is the "primary" but they're allowed to run it as a translator. _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
