Hauser
** CUBA. 11760, Jan 29 at 0644, RHC in English, S9+10/20, supposed to
be Spanish only and off much earlier; while the correct English
frequencies of 5040, 6000, 6060, 6100, 6165, 12000 are all OFF
already. 11760 is still on at 0732 starting jazz show, S9+10.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13740, Sun Jan 29 at 1600, RHC on here at S9/+10, not 13700,
but no spurs; Spanish ID and supposedly only on 11760 & 15140 after
1600. IS, and opening Esperanto, 1603 wrong info for all three weekly
broadcasts as I have quoted time and again. Today Esp`o not only on
usual 11760 and 15140 but extras 13740 and by 1610, 15230 is also
still on, JBM S9. 15140 is S9+20/30 with adequate modulation level but
some squeal. Somethings` always wrong at RHC. EiBi shows 13700 at
1400-1600 only, but 13740 at 1200-1600 & 2200-0500; 15230 at 1300-1600
& 2300-0600, no mention of Esperanto for any except 11760 & 15140
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** DENMARK [and non]. 25800, Jan 29 at 1615, JBA carrier the OSOB,
while Andy Robins & Harold Frodge in MI, Andy Reid in Ontario, have
been getting more than that before and at 1700 today. It`s World Music
Radio, 60 watts, 24/7 per op SHN as of 12/31. Per Aoki & EiBi it`s the
only SWBC station active on the 11 mb. There used to be something DRM
from Germany? HFCC shows imaginary registrations from Bulgaria 26000,
Vatican 26010 for IRDR; and WMR might alternatively use 25795 or
25805.

A few years ago there were US low-power NBFM ``remote pickup`` or
``talkback`` transmitters, 25870 from WFLA, 25950 from Denver, 25990
from The Metroplex, or vice versa? And several more in the 26.1-26.5
range, all gone now? Never reported or listed (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NETHERLANDS. 6020, Jan 29 at 0733, JBA carrier, presumed Delta
Radio International, as being reported active as far away as BC by
Walt Salmaniw. Per EiBi, only other signal now would be Vietnam, but
well before sunset there. 6020 suffers from 6030 Cuban jamming against
nothing bleedover. DRI also on 11730 but no signal there here. It`s a
low-powered, irregular, ex-pirate (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Jan 29 at 0635, VON is S9+20/30 with music but just
barely modulated. Something`s always abysmal at Abuja. Ron Howard was
also hearing it modulating before 0700 yesterday. Manuel Méndez and
Walt Salmaniw also hearing it before 0700 today. For me today it`s
still on and JBM past 0741 at S9/+10. Supposed to switch from Hausa to
Fulfulde at 0700; English after 0800 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SAO TOME E PRINCIPE. 15460.072, Jan 29 at 1612, S9+10/20, the SSOB
in African language, from USAGM`s most capable off-frequency site,
Pinheira. EiBi shows VOA this semihour in KNK, which is keyed to mean
``KinyaRwanda/KiRundi service of VOA, BBC``. How different are they?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rwanda-Rundi (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2175 monitoring: confirmed UT
Sunday January 29 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, S7/S9 to Maryland SDR, S9/+10
to Louisiana.

Also confirmed UT Sunday January 29 at 0435 about 6 minutes into, so
started circa 0429 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO, S9+20 groundwave into
nearby SDR. Lots of CW QRM, some contest, best evaded by LSB tuning.
Next:

** VANUATU [and non]. 7260, Jan 29 at 0635, JBA carrier from R.
Vanuatu; by 0730 check, 11835 S8/S9 with island music, 3 x 3945.
Compared at 0735 to NZ on 13755: S9+10 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA split 9/kHz MW carrier search, Jan 29
at 0636, trying earlier than usual: 693, 774, 855, 1053, 1521. 693
probably BBC Radio 5 Live synchros almost 300 kW total; 1053 Talk
Sport from UK, 500 kW altho also weaker Spaniards listed; 774 and 855
likely Spains as usual. Notably absent is 684, used to be 600 kW from
Sevilla RNE1, but power cut since last year, or off? MWlist.org shows
24h at 150/100 kW, which ought to be detectable here if the other
weaker ones are. As it`s Sunday, no TP signal on 846 from Kiritimati
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 1958 UT January 29
