Hauser
** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98 RC USB, Wed Dec 7 at 1457 tune-in LRA36 via
Argentine remote, a song already underway. Good steady but noisy
signal, did not get meter read. 1500 sign/on with staff list, etc.
1503 themesong, recorded; 1506 recitation by OM voice, ends with
fireworx? SFX, crowd noise and music; 1509 rap song, ``soy de tierra
santa`` refrain; 1513 ``su cía`` ID, live YLs greeting led by María
Eugenia, on the 34th program of the Esperanza Audaz season, staff
names again, references to Mundial; it`s the final month of the year,
and also the last month they are to be there. Temp -3, winds southerly
at 19 kph; 1520 contact info, un beso muy grande to an emailer from Bs
As; 1523 song with SFX about an incendio = fire. 1525.5 ``Nacional,
nos une`` ID; 1528 this-week-in-history; 1531* dumps off air amid,
never resumed by 1555 when I quit nor at 1622 recheck. Something`s
always abrupt in Antarctica. Try again for Saturday playback. BTW,
K-index at 1500 was 5 and as always, not a trace of 15475.98 direct
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 10080, Dec 7 at 0726, Cuban music at S9+10 on RHC mistuned
transmitter instead of half of that where there is only a JJBBA
carrier; as heard earlier at 0204. 5040 signal is as weak as 5020
Solomons. Something`s always wrong at RHC. Ivo Ivanov, Bulgaria was
also hearing 10080 via remotes with RHC until 1000, switching to
Rebelde programming 1000-1125; not 10050 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6165, Dec 7 at 0730, like earlier at 0215, RHC still in wrong
language Spanish instead of English, S9/+10 and // 10080. Something`s
always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6060, Dec 7 at 0732, RHC with S9/+10 of humbuzz only.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** INTERNATIONAL INTERNET. December is another Orgy Season at WHRB
Harvard:
https://www.whrb.org/download_file/force/2063/247
Tremendous variety and great detail on what to expect. And well worth
checking out all year, not just holidays (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA. 7255-, Dec 7 at 0722, VON S9/+10 but JBM. Something`s
always abysmal at Abuja (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.003, Dec 7 at 2300, VOT English, S9+30/45
into UTwente but undermodulated and humming; no longer torn between
this and simulSpain on 9690 since REE is talking about some silly
ballgame. By 2317 something about obesity, and CCCCCCI is audible;
2326 multi-lingual ID reel filler; 2328 Weekly Commentary same as
heard before written by someone at University of Manchester. After VOT
is off, Xinjiang PBS, std. denunciation is also +3 Hz offset (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 2167 monitoring. I happen to awaken just
before 1030 UT Wednesday December 7, so check WRMI 5850, confirming
WOR back on this week. Also confirmed by:

``Richard Lemke, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, the desk of Richard’s
listening Post, Radio: JRC NRD-535 HF, Antenna: random long wires in
the trees. Dear Glenn: Confirming World of Radio #2167. Dark side of
Christmas is all the made in China electronics, even power bars second
hand. WRMI:
5850, 0130, 0145 (55333), (55433), 0159, December 3 UTC 2022 [Sat]
9395, 0130, 0145 (45433), 0159, December 6 UTC 2022 [Tue]
9395, check, noise, 0059, December 7 UTC 2022 [Wed]
5850, 1030, 1037 (55433), 1058, December 7 UTC 2022 [Wed]
73’s, Richard, Dec 7, 2022``

Also confirmed Wednesday December 7 at 2200:24, on WBCQ, 7490-,
S9+10/20 into NH SDR. Next:

0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

New WOR 2168 should be ready early UT Friday Dec 9 and for first SWBC
on WRMI 7780 at 0330.

US funds, but not necessarily, to woradio at yahoo.com

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to:
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 4980, Dec 7 at 0728, WRMI-4 is off, unlike last night with
TOMBS; scheduled 0200-0500 only with Legends (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 7260, Dec 7 at 0722, JBA carrier here but none on 7890 nor
11835, implying R. Vanuatu is unusually still on 7260 after 0659. JBA
carrier on RV alternate 5040 implies Cuba since 10080 is still on.

Ron Howard agrees: ``at 0659 they did NOT change frequencies, but was
still on 7260 when last checked at 1035; at 0755, "The Little Drummer
Boy" Xmas song. Het and QRM seemed to be from a Chinese station
slightly off frequency? Ron, California`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 7398 USB, Dec 7 at 0723, 2-way in colloquial Spanish
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 0038 UT December 8
