Logs
** CANADA. 2598 USB, Nov 13 at 0745 UT, synthYL with marine weather,
S5/S3. Sounds like same on 2749 USB, but both too weak to try to // as
synchro on second receiver. Per dxinfocentre.com/mb.htm, starting at
0737 on 2598 is VCP-4, Placentia NL, 3000 watts; and from 0740 on
2749, VCO Sydney NS, 550 watts, both as first broadcasts of a new
morning, at 4:07 am in NL, 3:40 am in NS (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 10080, Nov 13 at 0756, RHC is here! S4/S8 in Spanish; in a
routine check for possible harmonic of Vanuatu 5040, which is still a
JBA carrier, surely not Cuba there. The sloppyrators at Bauta must
have accidentally tuned up the 5040 transmitter to its second
harmonic! With all others off by 0759, will Esperanto show here at
0800? NO, RHC news sounder and news in Spanish past 0805 when I zonk.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6165, UT Sun Nov 13 at 0751, RHC English is still on in jazz
show featuring a familiar Brazilian YL singer, S7/S9 but
undermodulated; and also on 6060, S8/S9 with better mod and some hum.
So all set for weekly Sunday Esperanto at 0800? NO, both are off by
0759, while 10080 continues in Spanish. Something`s always wrong at
RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 11760, Sunday Nov 13 at 1600 RHC Spanish ID, theme, to
continue on 15140 & 11760 & FM only; 1601 opening weekly Esperanto,
with schedule still claimed to be Sun 0800 on 6100, 1600 on 11760
only, and 2330 on 15730. Has RHC put up a B-22 sked by now? Of course
not! Now TWO YEARS OLD, B-20 skeds, in Spanish:
https://www.radiohc.cu/de-interes/frecuencias

HORARIOS, BANDAS Y FRECUENCIAS EN ESPAÑOL
PERIODO NOVIEMBRE 2020/MARZO 2021
CAMBIO DE HORARIO Y FRECUENCIA 17 DE NOVIEMBRE

And note the late effective date, so when in 2022?

Likewise the English sked:
https://www.radiohc.cu/en/de-interes/frecuencias
And Esperanto:
https://www.radiohc.cu/eo/de-interes/frecuencias

Something`s always wrong at RHC. Also, listening to first few minutes,
I catch them in Spanish-influenced stressmistakes: ``Amériko`` and
``polítiko`` instead of Ameríko and politíko`` -- and this will be
nonsense if an editor strip my accents off these; for clarity as in
Esp`o, everything is penultimate with no acutes required (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13567, 13633, 13767, 13834 approx., Nov 13 at 1517, RHC
spurblobs out of 13700 transmitter which is only S2/S4 itself. The
difficult to pinpoint broadband blobs suffer from extremely distorted
modulation, F#? tone. Same thing was happening last night out of q.v.
13740, no doubt same defective Bauta transmitter. Something`s always
wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ETHIOPIA [non]. 15160, Nov 13 at 1523, good signal in unknown
language. EiBi shows at 1500-1600 it`s Dimtse Woyane in TIG = Tigrinya
via Issoudun, FRANCE; subject to Ethiopian DRMish noise jamming, but
none audible here now.

From http://www.eibispace.de/dx/README.TXT
info about lang. abbrs. confusingly in two different systems:

TIG Tigrinya/Tigray: Ethiopia (4m), Eritrea (3m) [tir]
TGR Tigre/Tigré/Tigrawit: Eritrea (1m) [tig]
On the right in [brackets] the ISO 639-3 (SIL) language code for
reference. For more information on language [abc] visit
https://iso639-3.sil.org/code/abc
I wonder how different be TIG and TGR. SIL = Summer Institute of
Linguistix, gospel huxters but with remarkable language work (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** INTERNATIONAL VACUUM. New WORLD OF RADIO schedule on WRN: See USA
[and non]

** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, Nov 13 at 0736, no signal from R. Kiribati,
presumably another silent Sunday night. No other 9/kHz split carriers
audible either, TP or TA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** MADAGASCAR. 15605, Nov 13 at 1522, S6/S9 in unknown language. EiBi
shows at 1500-1530 it`s AWR in MZ to NIn = MZ Mizo / Lushai:
India-Mizoram (0.7m) [lus], and nothing else anywhen on 15605 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SCOTLAND [non]. 5850, UT Sun Nov 13 at 0156, tune in this WRMI for
`Encore` at 0200 but classical music is already playing: I had
forgotten that the 01-02 schedule would stick rather than shift an
hour later on this System -- presumably it`s `Encore` as what else
would be classical on WRMI! There is no spoken outro as Brice Avery
always closes out before playing the last piece. Then to my surprise,
after ID, `Encore` starts -- again, at 0200 instead of scheduled
`Teachers Corner` -- mistake or deliberate? Anyhow, I can hear the
whole hour now and it matches the Nov 12 Playlist. What will happen
next week? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SOLOMON ISLANDS. 5020, Nov 13 at 0750, JBA carrier presumed SIBC,
even weaker than 5040 Vanuatu; in the convenient absence of both
Cubans from 5025 & 5040 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WRN provides the correct new times for WORLD OF
RADIO via satellite and streaming. AAP = Africa/Asia/Pacific. The 0230
UT Sunday time I have also confirmed. These have already been
integrated into:
http://worldofradio.com/radioskd.html
http://worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html

``Below are the scheduled slots of WOR on our WRN networks for the
current B22 season (times in UTC):

WRN AAP & NAM:
02:30 - 02:59 (Sunday and Monday)
11:30 - 11:59 (Sunday)
17:00 - 17:29 (Saturday)
20:30 - 20:59 (Saturday)

WRN Europe:
13:30 - 13:59 (Daily)
17:00 - 17:29 (Saturday)
21:00 - 21:29 (Saturday and Sunday)``

WORLD OF RADIO 2164 monitoring: NOT confirmed UT Sunday November 13 at
0030 on WRMI 7780, because it`s OFF the air as checked into MD, MO and
TX remotes. Cuts on the air at *0055 for last 4 minutes!

Also confirmed UT Sunday November 13 at 0443 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, MO,
S9+20 into nearby SDR, about 10 minutes into so started circa 0433.
Next:

2100 UT Sunday IRRS 1323 & 918? & 207?-Italy
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW
0130 UT Monday WRMI 5950 to NNW
0400vUT Monday WBCQ Area 51 6160v to WSW
0130 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed by Cuba]
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S

** VANUATU. 5040, Nov 13 at 0638, JBA carrier here and not 7260, so
must be R. Vanuatu, in absence of CUBA [q.v. which IS on 10080!]. At
0733 slightly stronger JBAC on 5040 and no signals on 7890 or 11835,
so unusually this time must not have switched to 3945++ at 0700. By
0750, trace of modulation on 5040, not just carrier (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
