** NIGERIA. 7255-, Oct 25 at 0655, VON is on at S6/S7 but just barely modulated.
7255 minus 67 Hz = 7254.933, Tue Oct 25 at 1713, VON is ON into Canary SDR, S9/+10 but just barely modulated in presumed English, with squeal, useless. Well before 1730 it`s off. 1825: still off. Something`s abysmal at Abuja. VON might as well give up totally on SW. So do I for them. There is a live stream, English span still presumably 1630-1900, at: http://www.radio.garden/listen/voice-of-nigeria/k05gCdlw At 1744 `Women & Development` is ending. 1746 `Diplomatic Suite`. 1900 ending ``60 Minutes`` sign-off does not mention SW 7255! but app and stream. 1901 into percussive IS and Fulfulde. This via their slow-loading website with lots of stuff, but no plain old program schedule, linked from WOR Hitlist: https://www.von.gov.ng/ Only other link on Hitlist is to their FB, nothing since Jan 2021!: https://www.facebook.com/news.von/ but they also mentioned a different? FB I didn`t copy (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 350 MCW kHz, Oct 25 at 2126 UT, RG, OKC is on again but JBA, while I am not hearing 255 MCW, SW, StillWater (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** SPAIN. 17855, Oct 25 at 2013, REE NAm frequency still off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 383 MCW kHz, Oct 25 at 0620 UT, CNP, 25 watt ND beacon at Chappell, Nebraska, which is in the SW corner right next to the NE corner of Colorado. And mixing with another, partial call #WL? Nonesuch listed on 383, but on 385 there is UWL, 25 watts in New Castle, Indiana. My local line noise level in the 370-420 area must have relented a bit. Heavy storms on the radar map in NE TX not the problem I expected. CNP rarely heard, last logged Dec 5, Nov 15 & 13, 2021. UWL last logged Jan 24, 2018 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 356 MCW kHz, Oct 25 at 0624 UT, ODX, 25 watt NDB at Ord, Nebraska. 353 MCW kHz, Oct 25 at 0633, LI, 400 watt NDB at LIttle Rock, Arkansas; but I was tuned to 351 while 350 RG OKC was rarely absent (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. That`ll show `em! 9395 & 9455 are nominal. 9955 still off at 2120 Oct 25, but back on by 2155. As of 1530 UT Oct 25, there had been *no* updates on WRMI FB since Oct 21, unusual. Finally here`s one circa 2130 UT Oct 25: ``WRMI Radio Miami International 30m · A quick update on hurricane repairs at WRMI. Our crew continues to work on repairing transmission lines for 7570 and 7780 kHz. They have been quite difficult to reconstruct, but we are hopeful that one or both frequencies will be back on before the end of this week. We will keep you updated.`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 17790, Oct 25 at 1450, WRMI OC on already, S9/+10; by 1458 the IS & ID loop is underway prior to R. Is there a specific sked for ``V of Freedom``? It`s almost QSY time, so I tune to 11834 USB waiting for it to pop on 11835 --- but never heard well past 0700. Then I check 7890 and 0701 there it is while 7260 is off. So the second harmonic of 3945 is propagating, but not the third. Later, Lúcio Otávio Bobrowiec in SP reports to the WOR iog: ``Hi all, R. Vanuatu on 7890 and 11835 at 0841, 25/10 poor signal, male talks. 11835 better here. 73 Lucio Brazil`` And this: ``Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain, Logs in Friol, NW of Spain, Tecsun PL-880, cable antenna, 8 meters: 7260, Radio Vanuatu, Port Vila, 0630-0659*, 25-10, extremely weak today, unreadable comments by male and female, songs.
