Glenn Hauser logs August 6-7, 2022
Sunday, August 07 2022

Hauser
** CUBA. 6100, August 7 at 0653, only this RHC is still on with jazz
in English service, steel drum at S9/+10; seems promising for axually
running Esperanto at 0700 Sunday only, but I just can`t stay awake to
confirm (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13632 & 13768 approx., August 7 at 1407, extremely distorted
spurblobs from 13700 AM, RHC Spanish; with F# tone and modulation
readable in FM mode only. Plus/minus 68 kHz; then I search outward on
multiples of that and indeed hear more, progressively weaker, downward
to JBA F# tone: 13564, 13496, 13428, 13360, 13292! At the outset,
13768 weaker than 13632, and likewise not so much upward: just circa
13836. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** UKRAINE [non]. (7730), August 7 at 0500, missed checking UR1 via
WRMI for `Ukraine: Security Issue`, so listened later via:
http://ukr.radio/images/ckeditor/files/files/ENG_NEWS_06_08_22.mp3
this time with well-spoken YL announcer, including: for August 6 = Day
164 of Putin`s war: ``nuclear terrorism`` by Russia, shelling near
nuclear power plant; more shelling against civilian areas of cities;
Russian forces moving toward Kherson area anticipating Ukrainian
resistance; brainwashed Russians think their army is invincible;
conquered neighboring nations provide cannon fodder (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2150 monitoring: slight correxion
to previous item:
Also confirmed UT Saturday August 6 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, S9
undermodulated into Missouri SDR at 9394.954; but 9394.950, S9+15 into
Maryland: averaging 9394.952. First found it JBA into PEI SDR still up
after `BCQ.

Also confirmed UT Sunday August 7 at 0041 the 0030 on WRMI 7780, S9/+5
into Maryland SDR.

Also confirmed UT Sunday August 7 at 0330 on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, S6/S7
into nearby MO SDR, about 8 minutes into so started circa 0322.

Also confirmed Sunday August 7 ending at 1357.3 on WMRI Europe, via
Channel 292, Germany, 9670, S4/S6 into NW Ireland SDR. And Neil Gates
of WMRI says SW broadcasts will stop after August 14, but hopes to
resume early next year. Many tnx for carrying WOR! Next:

Thanks this week for financial support from Joe Caberlin, VE1EJ,
Ontario, for some US$ to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702;
preferably by money order or check on a US bank.

Or via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5850, UT Sunday August 7 after 0200, WRMI with nice but not
classical music, fill? following `Encore` at 0100-0200: certainly not
`La Rosa de Tokio`, Argentine media show as scheduled.

9955, August 7 at 0645, no signal from this WRMI, instead of TOMBS
overnight; and no Cuban jamming against nothing, either! New skedgrid
dated Aug 7 shows a number of changes, including WRMI-3, 9955 OFF
between 0400 & 1100. Nothing at all for WRMI-2 on 5985, 24/7 and
WRMI-10, 5800; however, 5800 is now from WRMI-4 at 2200-1100 with
variety of System programming (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5980, Aug 6 at 0640, the WWCR leapfrog mixing product is
back, 5890 TOMBS over 5935 DGS, another 45 kHz higher -- despite it
being a weekend, Sunday, 5890 is again running all night, yet skedgrid
still dated July 1 shows both 5890 and 3215 OFF AIR on Sat & Sun. Not
any more (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU [and non]. 11835, Aug 6 at 0636, RV still active on 3 x
3945, VP signal and with beat from presumed CNR2 also near on 11835
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11940, JBA carrier here August 7 at 1739 - 11940 not a
good choice with Spain all day for S America; and also CRI English
from Kashgar at 16-17. Maybe propagation so poor he doesn`t hear them.
Tnx to tip on WOR iog from Rick Barton, AZ, at 1630 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 15601.076, Aug 7 at 0651, only signal on band, OSOB, is
a just barely audible, JBA, carrier measured here. Fades slightly so
doubt is local birdie. Nothing in Aoki or EiBi on 15600 now. K index
at 0600 was 2, solar flux 116, no storms per WWV (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
