RUSSIA / USSR RWM broadcasting frequencies 4996 kHz, 9996 kHz, 14996 kHz
QTH - Moscow region, Taldom. Doppler ionospheric observations of the exact
time station RWM. Author: Vitaliy Melnik UI7K.

As a result of numerous experiments, a three-frequency RWM signal receiver
(broadcast frequencies 4996 kHz, 9996 kHz, 14996 kHz, which allows you to
simultaneously observe and evaluate three RWM signals. The station's pro-
gram guide is a repeating half-hour interval where the carrier is trans-
mitted for the first 8 minutes, then pause - 1 minute, RWM callsign trans-
mission - 1 minute, transmission second pulses - 10 minutes, transmission
of 0.1 second pulses - 10 minutes.

The most informative for us is the transmission interval, the carrier ...

RWM: Victor Rutkovsky on open-dx drew my attn. to this article about the

Russian time-signal stns on

<http://www.tvtower.ru/6_News_MRC/index.phtml>

In short, the standard time and fqy stns RBU 66.66 kHz, 10 kW and
RWM 4996, 9996, 14996 kHz are planned to be transferred from Elektrostral
/ Noginsk (Radiocentre 9) to Taldom (Radiocentre 3) in the first quarter
of 2008. {or May 31, 2005 year ?}

Taldom engineers have done the preparational works (repairing/constructing
antennas and xmtrs, including the unique "Zont" antenna system for RBU)
during 2006 and 2007.

QSLs are available from: Russian State Time and Frequency Service,
Institute of Metrology for Time and Space (IMVP), GP "VNIIFTR," Moscow
region, Mendeleeo, 141570 Russia. See a map showing their headquarters on
their website
