Svoboda 9370, Armenia? into UTwente SDR accompanied by spur carriers exactly 2 kHz away on both sides. Richard Langley had heard the het on a recording, later determined they were out of same transmitter, and: ``The sign-on time for the nominal one-hour relay of Radio Svoboda starting around 1900 UT varies from day to day according to my recordings using the U. Twente SDR receiver. Today (6 May) it was on with audio before 1846. Yesterday, the transmitter came on at about 1856 and on 4 May, it came on at about 1859, with audio starting in both cases about 30 seconds later. And on 4 May, the audio was accompanied by multiple tones (4 I think) centred around 2000 Hz either side of the carrier instead of the usual single tone`` 9366 & 9374, May 8 at 1935, now the spur carriers are about plus and minus 4 kHz into UTwente (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** UKRAINE [non]. 7730, May 8 at 0503-0506 via WRMI, UR1 with English segment, `Ukraine: Security Issue`; I tuned in late (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. More heavy tropo May 8 at 1510 UT, lots of BAD DTV signals on otherwise open RF channels: 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 21, 26, 30, 32, 36; RF 35, one decoding already is 4-1 KDFW-DT. Subchannels at 1530: 4-2, KDFW D2; 4-3 Heroes, with Superman episode with George Reeves; 4-4 GetTV. At 1539+ a bunch more from The Metroplex are decoding, but no time to explore subs of each: RF 36, 39-1 KXTX-DT RF 32, 33-1 KDNT-DT RF 31, 55-1 MeTV RF 30, 29-1 KMPX-HD RF 14, 13-1 KERA-HD Checking rabbitears.info later: RF 32 is supposed to be KDAF, not KDNT. But that`s what I copied. Font on the PSIP IDs is hard to read accurately on a small screen. RF 31 is KAZD, licensed to Lake Dallas. RF 30 KMPX is licensed to Decatur. DX QRM made RF 33 OKC a BAD signal. Tropo maps show big blob around The Metroplex extending to, or almost to, Enid, as they did yesterday when I was getting all that FM DX midday.
